T O P I C R E V I E WChildofVenusI like to do synasty and composite charts with people but I don't know their correct birth time. So when I look at aspect made to my Vertex and ASC are those aspects correct? So if I don't know the other persons birth time but I use my correct birth time. If it says the other persons Mars conjunction my Vertex would that be accurate? Also do you need to have both peoples correct birth time for moon aspects in a composite chart? So would moon trine sun in a composite be accurate with knowing only one persons correct birth time?CeridwenASC, MC, Vertex and Moon need a correct birthtime. If you have one perosn`s birthtime correct, the Moon-aspects in the composite could be carefully interpreted, as they may change just about 6 degrees, so especially those Moon-aspects in composite that are exact, will be still valid, no matter what the other`person`s birthtime is. If the Moon-aspects are already at 6 degree orb, they might actually either be much more exact in reality or completely out of orb depending on the other`s birthtime. Vajra.CeridwenVajra, ChildofVenusWhen you cast two charts for 12:01 am and for 11:59pm how would you know what degrees their moon could be in? quote:Originally posted by Vajra:Aspects to your own angles, vertex and Moon are correct, just not the other way round. To see how much their Moon moves, cast two charts for 12:01 a.m. and for 11:59 p.m. and note down the degrees their Moon could be in. Cast two composites as well to see the possible range of the composite Moon. Forget about their angles and vertex though, they could be literally anywhere.Important to note is, you can't take the composite's angles and houses into account either. People tend to forget that. This is why astro.com won't even let you cast a composite chart if you truthfully choose "birthtime unknown" for even one of the persons, because technically you can't cast the chart, you can only calculate the planet and node placements (and Moon within a certain range of degrees).Vajra.ChildofVenusOk so for the synastry I did with me and this person. It says his Venus trine my Vertex would this be accurate even though I don't know his birth time? But I did use mine.Vajra.CeridwenVajra, I agree with you, I only consider conjunction, opposition and square at close orbs with the Vertex. I have to count the square here as I did or do experience someone`s pluto being square my Vertex within mere minutes of orb, and yes I do feel that strongly (but to be fair my Vertex is exact conjunct my Eros and Sun/Moon-mp-axis, so it could be that, too). Same with the nodal axis actually. the trines and sextiles, while nice, are not really strong enough to manifest anything in real life, and these axises are about events and manifestations mostly, they want to manifest something, give birth to something in life to grow and transform.it`s never about maintaining some status quo with them, somehow they keep the person moving, developing, growing, and that does not happen if the energy is too nice and complacent. Vajra.CeridwenI always argue with myself that after all the square represents the midpoint of that whole axis and that is why. Vajra.manderinI think moon can be judged ok without birth time. Not exact of course, but I think you can get a decent picture of it.But birth time is an absolute must to obtain a person's ascendant.ChildofVenusBut if you don't have the persons correct birth time you won't know if their moon is trine, sextile, square or in opposition to your personal planets in synastry. quote:Originally posted by manderin:I think moon can be judged ok without birth time. Made a big difference when i found out my current flame's birth time... for the moon alone...ChildofVenus.ChildofVenusWhat about Mercury square Vertex in synastry? The orb is -2°56s' quote:Originally posted by Vajra:Ok, Ceridwen, that settles it - the squares should be taken into account, too In fact that's what I do with the Moon's Nodes, so it makes sense to apply this to the Vx/AVx axis too.
